Executive Management In-service Training
Due to the recent budget cuts facing law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia, the format of the Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs Executive Management In-Service Training will again be offered as one-day programs held in different locations throughout the state. The training will be an excellent review of management issues based on current and critical matters. This training is designed for chiefs, deputy chiefs, managers and command staff.

Registration Deadline is October 22, 2010
Class will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:
Session 1: Tuesday, November 23, 2010
Williamsburg, VA
Possible agenda items include:
- Collective Bargaining
- Dealing with Suicide and Depression
- Immigration Issues Impacting Local Government
Session 2: Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Roanoke County, VA
Possible agenda items include:
- Using Social Networking to Your Advantage
- Social Networking Issues & Model Policy
- Legal Update
Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis and early registration is encouraged.
Certification
This training will be approved by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) for Partial In-service Credit and will include legal and cultural diversity credit. Pre-approved DCJS PIC-3 Forms are distributed at the close of the training.
Program Fee
VACP Members: $100 per session
Non-VACP Members: $125 per session
The program fee includes registration, training materials, break refreshments, lunch and DCJS in-service credit.
Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is received before October 22, 2010, you will be eligible for a partial refund, but will be assessed a $50 scheduling fee. No refund will be granted for any withdrawal notice received on or after October 22, 2010. No-shows are not eligible for refunds. Qualified substitutions are gladly accepted with prior approval.
